She had two sisters, Rebecca and Sarah and three brothers, Jack, James and Dan.Most of her grandchildren knew only Uncle Dan and frequently visited him in Quapa, Oklahoma. Betsy Ann lived a very short life, as was somewhat common in those days. Her son James Herbert, aged 9, was lying in her arms when she passed away. She only lived long enough to see one of her grandchildren, Ethyl, the oldest child of her son Harry and his wife, Laura Bell.. All of her other grandchildren were all so sorry they never got a chance to meet her. She was, from all accounts, a lovely person and someone the grandchildren would have enjoyed being able to spend time with and get to know.
Betsy married Richard Rabe Young, son of James W. Young and Martha Ann SHORT. (Richard Rabe Young was born on 3 Aug 1866 in , , Illinois, USA and died in 1948 in Sedalia, Pettis, Missouri, USA.)
