Daniel Hoppes’ pension file (Ref. #2) contains a muster roll the 3rd Regiment (Stewart’s) Ohio Militia. It shows he was a 4th Corporal in Company H commanded by Captain Adam Kious and that he served for 20 days from July 28, 1813 to August 16, 1813. The pension file contains no evidence that he served beyond this 20-day period, nor did Daniel Hoppes claim any additional service
